Dispatch desk answered 24/7 — nights, weekends and holidays. Dedicated lanes available now.

Dispatch & fleet management · 24/7 · call or text

Loads booked for the truck. Operations run for the fleet.

Owner operators get a dedicated dispatcher: loads booked, rates negotiated, paperwork done, invoiced the same day — and you approve every load. Fleets get the same desk running drivers, compliance and per-unit numbers, with a phone answered at 3am.

  • No setup fee, no minimums — you pay on booked loads only
  • Dedicated lanes — USPS, Walmart, FedEx, Amazon, UPS freight
  • Cancel any time on 15 days notice — no long-term contract

We never ask for your load board login, card details or SSN. Here is how to verify us.

How we charge

A percentage of gross, on the loads we book — never on your accessorials. Quoted for your operation.

Equipment, lane mix, fleet size and how much of the back office you hand us all move the number. A single published percentage would overcharge one carrier and underserve another, so you get your figure on the first call — in writing, before anything is signed.

What the fee covers

  • Load sourcing and negotiation. The board worked all day, every rate argued against live market data.
  • Broker setups and packets. Carrier packets, W-9s, COIs and NOAs submitted and tracked for you.
  • Rate confirmations and check calls. Paperwork raised, tracking updates made, appointments confirmed.
  • Documents and same-day invoicing. PODs chased and verified, invoices out the day the load delivers.
  • Collections and accessorials. Detention, layover, TONU and lumpers billed and followed until paid.
  • A dispatcher on the phone at 3am. Nights, weekends and holidays, at no extra rate.

What you are never billed for

  • Setup or onboarding
  • Monthly minimums
  • Per-load surcharges
  • A week your truck does not run
  • Loads you found yourself
  • The back office — it is inside the fee, not an add-on

Cancel on 15 days notice. No forced dispatch, written into the agreement.

Want your number? Tell us your equipment, your home base and roughly what you run in a week. You get the figure on the call, in writing, with nothing to sign.

We are not the cheapest dispatch service. Here is what the difference pays for.

A desk that is genuinely staffed at 3am

Not an answering service and not a voicemail. We already run fleet management for multi-truck operations around the clock, so somebody is awake when your load falls apart on a Sunday night.

Dedicated lane access, not just the load board

We hold dedicated and contract lanes feeding USPS, Walmart, FedEx, Amazon and UPS freight networks. A cheap dispatcher working only the public board cannot offer you a lane that repeats every week.

No more than 4 trucks per dispatcher

A rock-bottom percentage is usually funded by giving one dispatcher more trucks than they can actually work. Our dispatchers manage a maximum of 4 trucks each, and that cap is written into the agreement.

The back office comes with it

Broker setups, rate confirmations, check calls, paperwork and same-day invoicing are inside the fee, not sold as add-ons.

Free lane review

Send your last 10 loads. We will show you what we would have booked.

Rate by rate, with the market benchmark beside each one. Takes us about 20 minutes and costs nothing. If your current numbers are already strong, we will tell you that.

  • A dispatcher replies — not a sales rep with a script
  • Under one business hour, any time of day
  • Attach your rate confirmations right in the form — PDFs, photos or a spreadsheet
  • Nothing to sign and nothing to cancel

Rigs longer than 26 ft only. Not a fit: sprinter vans, cargo vans and 16 ft box trucks.

Your details stay with our dispatch team. Typical reply: under 1 business hour.

Dedicated & contract lanes

Not everything we run comes off the load board

Alongside spot freight we hold dedicated and contract lanes moving freight through the major parcel and retail networks. For a carrier that means repeatable weeks: the same lane, a known rate and a known reload, instead of rebuilding your week every Monday on the public board.

USPS Walmart FedEx Amazon UPS + regional retail & 3PL contracts

Repeatable weeks

A dedicated lane is the same run at a known rate. You can plan home time and cash flow against it.

Known reload

Contract freight comes with a reload plan, which is where deadhead actually gets killed.

Steadier through soft markets

When the spot market compresses, contract lanes hold. That is the point of carrying both.

Available as capacity opens

Lanes are allocated as slots free up. Tell us your equipment and home base and we will tell you honestly what is open.

Ask what is open for your equipment and home base. Lane slots free up week to week, and we will tell you straight if nothing fits right now.

Network names refer to freight we move through those networks. MSM Transit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an agent of USPS, Walmart, FedEx, Amazon or UPS.

Genuinely 24/7

Your load does not fall apart between 9 and 5.

We already run fleet management for multi-truck operations around the clock, which is the only reason a small carrier can get a staffed desk at 3am. The overnight shift is not a voicemail box with a promise attached.

  • Nights, weekends and holidays — three shifts with a written handover, so nothing is dropped at change of shift
  • Breakdown at 2am — we reschedule with the broker, find the shop and manage everyone waiting on the load
  • Detention clock running — logged and claimed while it is happening, not reconstructed on Monday
  • Same number for call and text — because sometimes you cannot talk

Compare that with the dispatch service you are looking at right now. Ask them what time the phone stops being answered.

United States & Canada

One desk for Canadian and cross-border lanes.

All ten provinces and all 48 states. We dispatch Canadian carriers on domestic freight and US–Canada cross-border loads under your authority — the crossings fail on paperwork, not driving, and paperwork is desk work.

  • Manifests filed in advance. ACE southbound, ACI northbound — not at the booth.
  • Customs broker coordination. We talk to them so you do not do it from the cab.
  • Reload planned on the far side. An empty back across the border is an expensive empty.
  • Answered in every North American time zone. Including Newfoundland, at 2am, at no extra rate.
Canada & cross-border dispatch

Straight answer

Do you dispatch in Canada?

Yes — Canadian domestic lanes and US–Canada cross-border freight, on a percentage of gross, with no forced dispatch and no long-term contract. Same terms either side of the border.

Customs rules change. We track them; verify current requirements with CBP and the CBSA — including ours.

Where the loads come from

Brokers and shippers we book with

Freight from these networks moves on our carriers' trucks every week. It is not a closed list: the desk works the whole board, and dedicated lanes are added as they are won.

Brokers

Check us before you trust us

What we will never ask you for

Dispatcher scams are common enough that suspicion is the correct instinct. So here it is in writing, and here is how to verify us yourself.

We never ask for any of this

  • Your load board login or password — we work our own DAT and Truckstop accounts
  • Your credit card or any upfront payment to get started
  • Your Social Security number
  • Your bank login, routing or account details
  • A change to where brokers pay you — payments go to you or your factoring company, never through us
  • Control of your MC authority or your insurance
  • A deposit, a setup fee, or money for "load access"

If anyone contacts you claiming to be from MSM Transit and asks for any of the above, hang up and call us on the number on this page.

How to verify any dispatch company — including us

  • Know what a dispatcher is — and is not. A dispatch service works under your MC authority. It does not have an MC or DOT number of its own and should never ask to use yours. If a “dispatcher” quotes you their own MC, ask why — they may be a broker re-brokering your freight, which is a different business with different risks.
  • Check the business is real. Look up the registered entity on the state business-entity database, and call the number on the site at an odd hour to see who answers. Then ask for two current carriers you can call.
  • You sign the rate confirmation, not us. The contract for every load is between you and the broker. We negotiate and paperwork it; the authority and the money stay yours.
  • Read the agreement before you pay anything. Ours is week to week, cancellable on 15 days notice, with no forced dispatch. You should be able to read any dispatch agreement in five minutes.
  • Ask to speak to the dispatcher who would run your truck. Not a salesperson. If you cannot get the actual operator on the phone before you commit, that tells you how the service will feel later.

Verify us in four ways

  • Registered business — MSM Transit, Wyoming. Search the state business database
  • A phone that is answered — (631) 260-1863, any hour. Call at 2am if you want to test it.
  • References on request — two current carriers you can call before you commit to anything.
  • The agreement first — we send the full dispatch agreement before you pay or sign. Read it in five minutes.

Who we can onboard

Whether we can help you, before you call

We would rather tell you now than waste your time on a call. Authority age matters because brokers set the floor, not us.

EquipmentAuthority ageNotes
Dry Van · Reefer 1+ month active MC Widest broker acceptance — newer authority can start here
Flatbed · Step Deck · Conestoga 6+ months active MC Most flatbed brokers require six months
Power Only 6+ months active MC Trailer programs set their own authority minimums
Hotshot 6+ months active MC, 35ft+ trailer Weight-legal setup required
Box Truck 1+ month active MC Liftgate strongly preferred
RGN · Heavy Haul 1+ year active MC Permit and escort experience required

Needed in every case

  • Active MC authority in your name
  • Certificate of insurance — typically $1M auto liability, $100k cargo
  • A W-9, and a notice of assignment if you factor
  • A clean-enough CSA profile that brokers will load you

New authority

Brand new authority? Say so on the call. Under six months limits which brokers will load you, and we will be straight about that instead of signing you up and letting you find out.

Inside the percentage

One team for dispatch, paperwork and compliance

Most carriers end up paying a dispatcher, a bookkeeper and a compliance service separately, and things fall through the gaps between them. All of this sits in one operation, on one fee.

Equipment we dispatch

What each trailer type is booking

Typical market range per trailer type — an estimate, not a quote. Reefer is not dispatched like flatbed, and heavy haul is not dispatched like either.

Who we dispatch: Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, Step Deck, Conestoga, Power Only, Hotshot, Box Truck, RGN / Lowboy and Heavy Haul — every rig longer than 26 ft, new authorities included. Not a fit: sprinter vans, cargo vans and 16 ft box trucks.

Where we run, and what it pays

All 48 states and all 10 provinces — but reload density is what actually pays.

Coverage is easy to claim. What makes money is the ability to put you back under a load quickly in the market you just delivered into. Pick a lane and your trailer — you get a market estimate for it, no email required.

  • Reload density scored per destination market
  • Dedicated and contract lanes alongside spot freight
  • Home-time windows entered as hard constraints, not hopes
  • Deadhead measured on every load and reported weekly

Free lane check

What should this lane pay?

A market estimate by equipment and distance, so you have a number before you talk to anyone. No email required.

From first call to first load

What the first 24 hours actually looks like

A documented sequence rather than a promise. If we cannot improve your numbers we will say so on the first call — that is cheaper for both of us.

01 20 minutes

Discovery call

We review your authority, equipment, insurance, lane preferences, home-time needs and current rate per mile. If we are not the right fit, we tell you on this call.

02 Same day

Onboarding packet

Authority, W-9, COI, NOA and dispatch agreement collected through a secure portal. One packet, once — we reuse it for every broker setup.

03 Day 1–2

Lane strategy

Your dispatcher builds a written lane plan: target markets, minimum RPM, reload density and home-time windows. You approve it before we book anything.

04 Within 24 hrs

First load booked

Broker setups run in parallel with load search. Most carriers are booked and rolling inside one business day of onboarding.

05 Every day

Daily operations

Load offered, you approve, we book. Rate con, check calls, tracking and documents handled. Next load pre-planned before delivery.

06 Every Monday

Weekly scorecard

Gross, rate per mile, deadhead percentage, loaded-mile percentage and net per working day — in writing, with next week’s plan attached.

Straight answers

What carriers ask before they switch

The rest are on the FAQ page.

How much does dispatch service cost?

A percentage of gross revenue on the loads we book, quoted for your operation — equipment, lane mix, fleet size and how much of the back office you hand us all change the number. Accessorials such as detention, layover and TONU are not commissioned; that pay is yours. There is no setup fee, no monthly minimum and no per-load surcharge, and if your truck does not run in a given week you are not billed for that week. Call or text and you will have your figure on the first call, in writing.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Our agreement runs week to week and either side can end it with 15 days written notice. Carriers stay because the numbers work.

What do I need to sign up?

Active MC authority, a certificate of insurance meeting standard broker requirements ($100k cargo / $1M auto liability is typical), a W-9 and a signed dispatch agreement. If you are still setting up authority, we can guide you through the sequence.

How fast can you get me moving?

Most carriers are booked on their first load within 24 hours of completing onboarding. Broker setups run in parallel with load search so nothing waits on paperwork.

Do you have forced dispatch?

Never. Every load is presented with rate, broker, lane, appointment times and any accessorials before booking. You approve it or you do not. This is written into the agreement, not just promised.

Who do I talk to every day?

A named dispatcher assigned to your truck, plus a briefed backup for their days off. Each dispatcher manages a maximum of 4 trucks, and that cap is in the agreement.
